New Preprint on Bioarchive

We are super excited about our new preprint on bioarchive! We have expanded out Free Movement Pattern Y maze  (FMP Y maze) memory test for zebrafish that we have published a few papers on previously, to analyse the performance of mice, drosophila, and found almost identical pattern of behaviour in the mice and the fish! This is really exciting, as it suggests that vertebrates might share a common search strategy in a closed environment. Even more exciting, we then developed a virtual maze with Ed Redhead at the University of Southampton, and found that humans do exactly the same thing! This task could have major ramifications for translational research into human memory conditions (eg Alzheimer's disease, etc.).
